Catalogs

Use Catalogs to create and manage catalogs that belong to the selected company workspace.

A catalog is a company-owned collection of products prepared for a business purpose: selling, procurement, exhibition, presentation, partner sharing, or internal review. Catalogs help separate product master data from how a company wants to present or offer those products.

What the page is for

Use Company Workspace → Catalogs when you need to:

  • review all company catalogs;
  • filter catalogs by catalog type and status;
  • create a new catalog;
  • open a catalog for editing;
  • check catalog completeness and audit results;
  • add products to a catalog;
  • manage catalog editors, viewers, companies, and permissions;
  • prepare a catalog for publication or external use.

Catalog types

Actualog can show several catalog types. The exact set depends on current implementation and permissions.

Common catalog purposes are:

  • Showcase — present company products without commercial offer terms.
  • Sales — publish products with commercial offer data such as price, currency, minimum order, stock, and delivery terms.
  • Procurement — organize products for buying or sourcing workflows.
  • Exhibition — prepare a focused product set for a trade show, event, or project.

The type affects which fields and actions are meaningful inside the catalog.

Create a catalog

  1. Select the correct company workspace.
  2. Open Company Workspace → Catalogs.
  3. Click New catalog if you have permission to create catalogs.
  4. Choose the catalog type.
  5. Enter the catalog name and basic description.
  6. Save the catalog.
  7. Open the catalog and add products.
  8. Review catalog audit messages before publishing or sharing.

If New catalog is not available, your role may not allow catalog creation for the selected company.

Add products to a catalog

Open the catalog and use its Products area. Products usually come from the company product workspace. Product availability depends on product visibility, company authority, category, and catalog type.

For a Sales catalog, adding a product may require selecting a Product Pack and filling commercial offer fields. Product master data and catalog offer data are separate.

Catalog audit

Catalog audit helps identify problems before a catalog is used. It can show missing products, missing offers, unavailable packs, invalid statuses, publication issues, or other catalog readiness problems.

Use audit before publishing, exporting, or sharing a catalog.

  • Products overview — select products and review product readiness.
  • Packages — maintain reusable package records used by Product Packs and Sales catalog offers.
  • Data exports — download controlled exports when the page offers export actions.
